How Long Does It Take To Get A Dental Implant In Mexico?
How long does the dental implant procedure take in Mexico?
On average, it takes two to three visits.
Visit 1:
It may take five to twelve days for the placement of the dental implants. During this time period, a temporary prosthesis will be placed so that you can continue eating normally.
Visit 2:
This visit is usually scheduled three to six months after the first one. It may take up to five days for porcelain tooth or denture placement at this time – but there might also be another follow-up appointment if necessary for bone graft surgery.
Is it painful?
Patients usually experience slight discomfort and complain about mild soreness afterwards.
Of course, all surgical procedures involve some degree of pain; and for many patients, dental implant surgery involves a certain level of anesthesia depending on the severity. Patients can expect to experience mild levels of discomfort after the anesthetic has worn off. Pain levels also depend on whether it is a simple tooth implant or a bone graft procedure.
Why is the procedure less expensive in Mexico than in the United States?
Cost is the most common reason why people travel to Mexico for denture implants. Healthcare costs are lower in Mexico, so patients can afford it. Plus, living expenses are lower too – which makes it easier for professionals such as dentists to start up a business there.
